The Lake Geneva Wine Festival is proud to announce its recent endorsement this spring by the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, which has awarded the festival $37,700 in JEM Grant money towards its advertising efforts for the 2007 event, which will take place September 6-9. The grant is offered as a joint effort marketing (JEM) partnership opportunity to help Wisconsin organizations promote tourism in their area. To be funded, projects must demonstrate that they will generate an increase in visitors and make a positive economic impact in the local area.
The JEM Grant award, combined with the support of sponsors like Chicago Magazine and the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa, as well as the participation of nationally recognized vintners and chefs, is expected to help create a successful and enjoyable event for wine and culinary enthusiasts from Chicago, northern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin.
